Call for Nominations: Humanitarians of Africa Awards 2026

Hexa Media Africa invites the public to nominate outstanding individuals and organisations driving social impact across Africa.

Nominations are currently open for the 2026 Humanitarians of Africa Awards, an annual pan-African recognition programme by Hexa Media Africa celebrating individuals and organisations whose work is creating meaningful and measurable social impact across the continent.

Now in its third edition, the awards honour changemakers who are addressing some of Africa’s most pressing challenges through innovation, leadership, advocacy, community development, humanitarian action, and social entrepreneurship. The awards recognise individuals, nonprofits, social enterprises, and organisations whose work is improving lives and advancing sustainable development.

The 2026 edition features 12 award categories, spotlighting excellence across nonprofit leadership, social entrepreneurship, community development, innovation, advocacy, technology for social good, youth leadership, and other areas of impact.

Nominations are free and open to the public, with self-nominations also encouraged. Eligible nominees must be based in Africa or actively serving African communities and demonstrate at least one year of verifiable impact aligned with one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Speaking on this year’s awards, Emmanuella Imo, Founder of Hexa Media Africa, said:

The award recipients will be announced during the 2026 Social Impact Marketing Summit, where leaders from across the continent will gather to celebrate innovation, collaboration, and excellence in the social impact sector.
